Up HIlton Head Island - Pinckney Island, November 26-30, 2007 Prev Next Slideshow

We stayed at the Disney Resort on Hilton Head Island. The resort is on a sheltered cove that nearly divides the island in two. Monday morning I got up early and wandered around a bit and found a long fishing wharf where quite a few birds were congregating. Apparently, the gulls are not welcome... one of the resort employees ran out on the wharf to admonish a group of folks who were feeding them. The family left, I hung around and made friends with the gulls who seemed to like me even though I didn't have anything to eat. This one is a Ring-Billed Gull.
