I was mainly there to scout the Wood Ducks so I found a sheltered spot and sat down with my shoulder against a tree and everything but my head behind a small shrub. As soon as I got settled the action started. It was like watching the troops in review at the old May Day displays in Red Square... the critters made their appearances one after another as if on cue, and I got a shot of each one. Some of the shots didn't come out very well since I was too far away, but still, it was exiting to see such a variety in such a short span of time. First, this Anhinga swam by. |
