| Barn spider, Araneus cavaticus, ventral view. Like the Garden spiders, these guys build very large beautiful webs. Nearly every night for several months this one erected an elaborate web over two feet in diameter, with about two dozen spokes and about sixty concentric spirals, then dismantled it in the morning. |
