About a block north of the hospital was a small road leading down into the woods. Over the years we have spent quite a lot of time at Emory and Egleston for surgeries and doctors appointments... we probably drove past the park a hundred times and always meant to walk down there (no cars allowed) but never did. Finally, I took a walk in and found a nice pond with quite a few geese and joggers. At one end of the pond was this little waterfall and what looked like a small deserted mill. To get this kind of depth of field and nicely blurred water I needed a small aperture (f/22) and a very slow shutter speed (about two seconds). To make matters worse, the sun was setting and I had left my tripod back in our van. Fortunately I had a little Leitz table-top tripod in my bag. Some rocks in the foreground were just about the right height to set it on.
