| Female ruby-throated hummingbird, Talbotton, GA. These birds eat non-stop, they have very speedy metabolisms. Probably more amazing than their tiny size is the fact that they manage to store up enough energy over the summer to complete a 500 mile non-stop migration across the Gulf of Mexico each fall. |
