Summer Jam at Watkins Glen, NY. July 27-28, 1973

This was the weekend that practically every college student in a five state area converged on the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Raceway to see the Grateful Dead, The Band and The Allman Brothers. 150,000 tickets were sold but about 600,000 people showed up. Snarled traffic and police roadblocks as far as 80 miles from the site made getting there an unforgettable experience.
